◆ The action of 16 June 1877 at Zeidekan: Lieutenant-Colonel Pedino, commanding the 2nd Khoper Regiment, ordered all non-combatants to be mustered, and "under the command of uryadnik Kalaushin" they occupied a height on the right flank and opened fire.
