"In 1885 and 1896, at Her Highness's request, Grand Duke Friedrich Franz of Mecklenburg-Schwerin, husband of Grand Duchess Anastasia Mikhailovna, granted Mecklenburg-Schwerin orders and medals of various classes to Khoper officers and lower ranks…" — context for the Mecklenburg medals that, according to the roster, Fedot Alekseevich was permitted to wear (1897) [Tolstov 1901, pt 2, p. 339].
