Two Kalaushins from Cherkessk were killed at Myskhako near Novorossiysk: Junior Sergeant Vladimir Alekseyevich, son of Aleksey Dmitriyevich, on 24 April 1943, and the teacher Nikolay Sergeyevich, a submachine-gunner of the 404th Rifle Regiment, who died of wounds on 14 June 1943 (spelled “Kaloushin” in the report). Vladimir is not in the roster — the loss report names him.

Birth of Vyacheslav Mikhailovich

Mikhail Pavlovich’s only son, Vyacheslav, the grandfather of the author of this chronicle, was born. The roster records that he was named after his father’s younger brother, Vyacheslav Pavlovich, who died in the Civil War. According to the family, he was born in Chimkent (now Shymkent) in the Kazakh SSR; there he met Galina, and their son Oleg Vyacheslavovich is the father of the chronicle’s author.

The year of birth is from the roster (◈); the birthplace and his meeting Galina are the family’s account (◇, 9 Oct 2026). Of Galina, name and relationship only.
