The Mikhailovskoye museum reserve held the exhibition “Matvey Matveyevich Kalaushin: for the centenary of his birth”; for it his grandson, N.G. Firtich, wrote a biographical essay that also records the motto of Matvey Alekseyevich’s family: “No feeling is holier than friendship”.

The Golden Pen

The Throne Hall of the Catherine Palace in Pushkin hosted the ceremony of the 10th professional competition for journalists of St Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast, the Golden Pen (results for 2004); the special prize “Best Test-Driving Journalist” went to “Oleg Kalaushin (Pyatoye Koleso magazine)”.
