In the Russo-Turkish War the 2nd Khoper Regiment held the Dayar gorge throughout 9 June 1877. The Insignia of the Military Order, 4th class, went to Uryadnik Yegor Afanasyevich and Prikazny Ilya Nikolayevich Kalaushin — in the award list, “to Yegor Koloushin” and “to Ilya Koloushin”.

During the withdrawal of the Erivan Detachment near Zeydekyan the regimental commander “ordered all the non-combatants to be called out, and they, under the command of Uryadnik Kalaushin… took the height on our right flank and opened fire”. △ This may have been Yegor Afanasyevich or Gavriil Ivanovich, both then uryadniks of the 2nd Khoper Regiment.

According to the 1877 list of internal-service uryadniks of the Batalpashinsk Department cited by the roster, Fyodor Andreyevich, son of Andrey Trofimovich, was an uryadnik of the 1st squadron of His Majesty’s Own Convoy.
