The family loses two masters
◇ family testimony
In 1912 the family lost two of its masters. Matvey Alekseyevich, as the family tells it, died from an accidental shot; in the same year, relatives recall, Mikhail Alekseyevich was accidentally shot while hunting. Matvey Alekseyevich’s grave in Labinskaya bore the words “Purveyor to the Court of His Majesty”; the family workshop passed to Aleksandr Alekseyevich.
