Матвей Алексеевич Калаушин1867 – 1912
A saddler from Batalpashinskaya who later lived in Labinskaya: a bronze award of the Caucasus Exhibition of 1889 “for a saddle and saddle straps” and an honourable mention at the 1896 exhibition. The family history records his “Kalaus steel” and his last commission, parade equipment for Archduke Franz Ferdinand made together with Fedot Alekseyevich; relatives confirm that the commission was completed.
