Founded in 1841–1842; here, in 1861, Alexander II asked: “Do you remember Kalaushin?” The stanitsa of Matvey, Mikhail and Aleksandr Alekseyevich, with the Kalaushins’ house, shop, workshops and garden; birthplace of the Pushkin scholar M.M. Kalaushin (memorial plaque at 1 Khalturina St).
