Roman Vasilyevich Kalaushin
Роман Васильевич Калаушин14 October 1895 – 1983

Born 14 October 1895 in Bekeshevskaya, a Cossack of the 3rd Khoper Regiment; the family remembered his journey home from Persia in the spring of 1918 and the dekulakisation of the 1930s. In 1941–1945 he served as a private and driver at an army trophy depot and received the Medal “For Combat Service” (Berlin, 1945); father of the family chronicler Yury Romanovich.
