The Order of St Vladimir for Nikita Ilyich

In February 1916 Yesaul Nikita Ilyich, senior staff adjutant of the 1st Kuban Plastun Brigade, received the Order of St Vladimir, 4th class; a year earlier he had received the Order of St Anna, 4th class “for bravery” for distinction against the Turks.

A house with a power plant and a cinema

According to his daughter, in 1916 Aleksandr Alekseyevich bought the Zlygosteva house in Labinskaya “together with a power plant and a cinema”, where his son Boris showed films. Mariya Aleksandrovna remembered the children playing in the house, rolling gold coins across the floor until they slipped into the cracks beneath the window.
