Born on 1 (14) May 1904 in the Convoy barracks on Shpalernaya Street, a projectionist and cinema technician; in 1929 he was expelled from Leningrad University “for Cossack origin”. Father of the compiler of the roster; mobilised on 22 June 1941, he went missing near Novgorod on 15 August 1941.
