Boris Matveyevich Kalaushin
Борис Матвеевич Калаушин6 August 1929 – 10 June 1999
Book artist and painter: as a boy he made handwritten booklets in besieged Leningrad, in 1945 he drew war-ravaged Mikhailovskoye, and later he illustrated more than a hundred children’s books. A co-founder of the Apollon society and publishing house; about 120 of his works are held in nine Russian museums.
